The populist measure of reduction in petrol price has sparked a rush for petrol overnight, with petrol stocks reportedly getting exhausted faster than the petrol pump owners  can replenish them. The situation continued to be the same on Tuesday,  the second day, of the reduced petrol prices coming into force.
